About Xima
Maxima May, also known as Xima, is a Reiki Master certified in Healing Touch and the Language of Light. She is the founder of Kukui Lani Healing, a name inspired by a Hawaiian Paniolo elder she treated, which translates to “Heavenly Light.” Maxima is highly regarded in her field as a healer’s healer, with extensive experience in hospitals, hospice care, and private practice. Her unique solo and collaborative workshops in the U.S. and Canada attract healers and wisdom keepers from around the world. She has had the ability to do spirit rescue work since the beginning of her training. Prior to her healing career,
Maxima was a trailblazer for women in the field of Information Technology. However, she decided to pursue a more meaningful and fulfilling life beyond financial success. This journey led her to discover Reiki and relocate with her husband to Hawaii. During her 15 years in Hawaii, she engaged in various roles, including work with hospitals and hospice care, as well as sharing her healing gifts through Reiki and Kukui Lani Healing. Additionally, she conducted computer training classes.
Maxima is the author of the book “My Journey Through Healing: Your Guide to Self-Empowerment” and has contributed to Sibyl Magazine, which is internationally recognized for its focus on the spirit and soul of women. Of Filipino descent, Maxima has a Hawaiian soul and is respected and acknowledged by everyone who has met her or learned about her Aloha Spirit-based Kukui Lani Healing modality. She is passionate about educating others and visually demonstrating how Kukui Lani positively affects and heals the mind, body, and spirit. Examples of this can be found on her MaximaMay YouTube channel, where she uses an infrared camera to illustrate its effects. While the energy itself defies description, its results are evident.
For three decades, Maxima worked in Information Technology in Hawaii and across the nation for various organizations, including government bodies and private corporations such as Levi Strauss and the Estée Lauder Companies. She held the position of Director at Primary Payment Systems, the world’s largest risk management service. Renowned for her ability to simplify complex subjects for novices, she developed a healing program with the help of the Divine and her Guardian Angels, designed to be universally accessible. Her passion lies in educating others and visually illustrating the transformative effects of Kukui Lani on the mind, body, and spirit. Infrared camera footage on her website provides evidence of this impact. The program originated from numerous inquiries about her method of delivering profound healing.
Born in 1958, Maxima retired at the age of 59 and is now over 65, enjoying life while traveling around the globe. She offers distance healing on a donation basis. Leading a simple life, she maintains a profound connection to the Divine and her angels. Maxima seldom wears makeup, occasionally opting for lipstick, and avoids hair dye. Her diet excludes vitamins, medications, alcohol, and coffee. She finds joy in her daily activities, which include playing the piano, crocheting, sewing, crafting, and gardening—activities that connect her with Mother Earth. Her daily regimen also includes loving her two long hair chihuahua dogs. Although she has had over 20 animals in this lifetime, she recently learned about her ability to train her dogs of tricks.
“DO NOT JUDGE PAIN – love pain and set it free.” -Maxima

Your Guide to Self-Empowerment
“I wanted to write a book that would inspire people and to have them appreciate themselves, their lives, and the universe more. Despite all the self-help books and counselors out there, I felt the need for a book that would help inspire, teach, and empower people in their own healing journeys.” – Maxima
In our complex world, we all search for simple answers to a kinder, compassionate way to lead our lives. Maxima May Forslund has written her book to “inspire people and help them appreciate themselves, their lives, and the universe more”. Her goal is to “empower people in their own healing journeys.”
This book is a roadmap of her personal journey, but also a beacon for others on their own path. She is simultaneously a holder of space, place, heart and soul. She is highly practical with a deep understanding of the human condition, yet absolutely humble, taking pure joy in the simplest of pleasures.
This book is indeed a guide to self-empowerment. It is structured to empower each reader whether you are already a practitioner in the healing arts or want to use these simple techniques of “Kukui Lani” to find our own “Heavenly Light” as it illuminates our path to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
