About Xima
Maxima May aka Xima is a Reiki Master, certified in Healing Touch, Language of Light, and the founder of Kukui Lani Healing. The name “Kukui Lani” was inspired by a Hawaiian Paniolo elder she treated and means “Heavenly Light”. She is well-regarded as a healer’s healer and has extensive experience working in hospitals, hospice, and private practice. Her unique solo and collaborative workshops in the U.S. and Canada attract healers and wisdom keepers from around the world.
Maxima May was a trailblazer for women in the field of Information Technologies but decided to pursue a more meaningful and fulfilling life beyond financial success. This led her to discover Reiki and relocated with her husband to Hawaii. Living in Hawaii for 15 years, she engaged in various vocations and avocations including working with hospitals, hospice, and sharing her healing gifts of Reiki and Kukui Lani. Additionally, she conducted computer training classes. Maxima May is the author of the book “My Journey Through Healing, Your Guide to Self-Empowerment” and has contributed to Sibyl Magazine, known internationally for focusing on the spirit and soul of women.
Of Filipino descent, she has a Hawaiian soul and is respected and acknowledged by all who have met her or come to know about her and her Aloha Spirit-based Kukui Lani Healing modality. She is passionate about educating and visually showing people how Kukui Lani positively affects and heals the mind, body, and spirit. Examples can be found on her YouTube channel using an infrared camera to illustrate its effects. Even when experienced, the energy defies description, but its results are evident.
For three decades, she worked in IT in Hawaii and across the nation for diverse organizations, including government bodies and private corporations such as Levi Strauss and Estee Lauder Companies. She held the position of Director at Primary Payment Systems, the world’s largest risk management service Renowned for simplifying complex subjects for novices, she developed a healing program with the aid of the Divine and her Guardian Angels, designed to be universally accessible. Her fervor lies in educating and visually illustrating the transformative effects of Kukui Lani on the mind, body, and spirit. Infrared camera footage on her website evidences this impact. The program was born from numerous inquiries about her method of delivering profound healing.
Born in 1958 and retired at 59, she is now over 65 and relishing life, continuing her travels around the globe. Her position enables her to offer distance healing on a donation basis. She leads a simple life, with a profound connection to the divine and her angels. She seldom wears makeup, occasionally choosing to wear lipstick and avoiding hair dye. Her diet excludes vitamins, medication, alcohol, and coffee. Her piano playing, crocheting, sewing, crafting, gardening (which connects her with Mother Earth) and daily regimen of exercise serves as her meditation and brings joy to her heart.

Your Guide to Self-Empowerment
“I wanted to write a book that would inspire people and to have them appreciate themselves, their lives, and the universe more. Despite all the self-help books and counselors out there, I felt the need for a book that would help inspire, teach, and empower people in their own healing journeys.” – Maxima
In our complex world, we all search for simple answers to a kinder, compassionate way to lead our lives. Maxima May Forslund has written her book to “inspire people and help them appreciate themselves, their lives, and the universe more”. Her goal is to “empower people in their own healing journeys.”
This book is a roadmap of her personal journey, but also a beacon for others on their own path. She is simultaneously a holder of space, place, heart and soul. She is highly practical with a deep understanding of the human condition, yet absolutely humble, taking pure joy in the simplest of pleasures.
This book is indeed a guide to self-empowerment. It is structured to empower each reader whether you are already a practitioner in the healing arts or want to use these simple techniques of “Kukui Lani” to find our own “Heavenly Light” as it illuminates our path to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
